Ati Atihan Kalibo Aklan

Kalibo once again celebrates Ati Atihan considered by many as the most religious of Sto. nino celebrations in the country.Held every second weekend of January,Ati Atihan is like iloilo's dinagyang where celebrants paint their faces with black soot.
They wear bright,outlandish costumes as they revel during the last two days of this week long festival.

Celebrants ape the dance of the Atis,hence the name Ati Atihan which means "make believe Atis" this ritual is said to be result of the sale of land in Panay by the Ati chieftain Marikudo to Datu Puti and the Borneans so that they can have a place to settle.

Ati Atihan is a feast in hanor of the Sto. nino.It is celebrated on the second sunday after Epiphany. This day is a day for Catholic as it is observed through several events that focus on the religious theres the processions parades,dancing and merrymaking.

The history of Valentine's Day is a bit shaky.The day was indeed named after Saint Valentine,though there were three of them.One story suggests that an ancient Roman Emperor,Claudius II, believed unmarried men made better soldiers so he banned young men from marrying.Valentine,a priest felt this was an injustice yo young lovers and performed marriage in secret.When Claudius II found out about this,Valentine was ordered to death!

Hi it's me again...I just woke up late today coz last night i went to malate with my friend.Im so sleepy today but i have to get up,go to work and do my job.
I research where and how get the meaning of SUNDAY...

Saturday Night!!!

Well,It's saturday night again and here I am again in front of the computers instead of being out with my friends later...You might think its because I dont have a life, but that's not true...You know I had a hysterical dream last night.about going out boating with my neighbors and our one neighbor was going to go tubing and he was using a little tiny childs pool ring and wearing a speedo(he's not quite the right body type for one of those).hehehe.I think i woke up laughing.I have weird dreams...Anyway don't know what i'll do the rest of my evening;-)
