Paving the Way for Memory Lane

Common name: Ginkgo; Maidenhair Tree
Leaves, Flowers and Fruits:
The ginkgo leaf is one of the most elegantly beautiful of all trees.
The tree's common name (Maidenhair Tree) comes from the flowing fan shape of the leaf.
During the Spring and Summer, the leaf is a bright, medium-colored green, and ginkgo's provide one of the best and most consistent Fall displays as the leaves turn to a golden yellow.
A noteworthy attribute of the ginkgo is the speed with which it sheds its leaves during the Fall.
Once the ginkgo's leaves begin to fall, they typically go very quickly (within a couple of days) so you won't be constantly raking up ginkgo leaves all season.
You'll notice a few stray leaves starting to drift down one day and the next morning you may find the entire lawn a carpet of yellow.
The ginkgo does not have a significant flower.
Feeling like the absent-minded lately?

Here are some memory-improving strategies to keep your brain sharp.

Ginkgo to Think Ginkgo, the oldest surviving species of tree, has been traced back 300 million years and is one of the most widely studied plants.

The leaf of the ginkgo tree is shaped like a human brain, and some believe this is why, in Asia, it has always had a reputation of benefiting the mental processes.
A dwindling memory and decreased concentration is largely caused by decreased blood flow to the brain and loss of brain cells; ginkgo has been confirmed to boost circulation to the brain and other organs, improving memory and cognitive functions.

Additionally, ginkgo is used far and wide as a longevity tonic in Asia and Europe.
The best-known and most commonly available form of ginkgo is as teas and herbal extracts, but ginkgo nut, used in the culinary traditions of Asian cultures, also has therapeutic properties and is also said to strengthen lung function.

Mental Gymnastics Keep Your Mind Nimble It is normal to become more absent-minded as we age, and in fact, most people over the age of 40 experience some memory loss.

The most likely causes of a forgetful memory include poor concentration due to brain-chemical imbalance, tiredness, depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders.

If you find you are more forgetful than usual, try these steps and see if there isn't some improvement in your cognitive clarity:

1.) Get an uninterrupted eight hours of sleep each night.

2.) Do a half an hour of cardiovascular exercise every day, such as brisk walking, slow jogging, biking, or swimming.
This will improve circulation and increase blood flow to the brain.

3.) Turn yourself upside down for a couple of minutes daily.

4.) Mental fitness activities are imperative to prevent age-related cognitive decline.
Read and learn new things, find new hobbies, do crossword puzzles, add up your bill in your head while shopping, memorize a set of phone numbers forward and backwards; all these can stimulate brain cell activities and in some cases even grow new brain pathways.

5.) Work with your physician to find a supplemental regimen that helps improve your cognitive capabilities.
Memory-enhancing supplements and herbs include B-complex vitamins, magnesium, CoQ10, alpha-lipoic acid, fish oil, flax seed oil, Chinese club moss, ginkgo, and ginseng.
A supplement that has been well-documented in Europe for reversing age-related dementia and memory loss is phosphatidylserine (PS), a compound made by the body from the amino acid serine.
Taken in supplement form, PS lowers stress response and promotes the release of neurotransmitters in the brain that facilitate thought, reasoning, and concentration.

I hope you find your days more memorable for many years to come!

May you live long, live strong, and live happy!

If i wasn't wrong this happened about year 2000.

While i was there in Yamanashi Ken in Japan it is my first time to saw a Japanese

Movie star it was Katori Shingo of SMAP one of the famous Male group in Japan.

He'd been there to the place where i work maybe to unwind.

He was in disguised of a hat.

When he entered along with the two guys,

it was ordinary but we are all curious because we all can't see his face cause of a cup.

Somebody assist him without knowing who he really is,

he don't even want to tell his name,

so instead of talking to him the girl who was assisting him requested him to sing a song.

He Sang one of the famous song there at that time "SAKURA SAKA".

While he was on the stage a commotion began cause his voice was recognise by one of our guest,

He said that it was Katori who was singing out of curiosity one of the Guest went to the stage to find if it's true.

We are all shock cause really it's him.

He got a great voice and he's so cute and i become one of his fans.

Oops! Tech error wipes out Alaska info

Good day everyone,
While i was reading a news,My eyes catch this one.

JUNEAU, Alaska - Perhaps you know that sinking feeling when a single keystroke accidentally destroys hours of work. Now imagine wiping out a disk drive containing information for an account worth $38 billion.

That's what happened to a computer technician reformatting a disk drive at the Alaska Department of Revenue.
While doing routine maintenance work, the technician accidentally deleted applicant information for an oil-funded account — one of Alaska residents' biggest perks — and mistakenly reformatted the backup drive, as well.
There was still hope, until the department discovered its third line of defense, backup tapes, were unreadable.
"Nobody panicked, but we instantly went into planning for the worst-case scenario," said Permanent Fund Dividend Division Director Amy Skow. The July computer foul-up, which wiped out dividend distribution information for the fund, would end up costing the department more than $200,000.

Over the next few days, as the department, the division and consultants from Microsoft Corp. and Dell Inc. labored to retrieve the data, it became obvious the worst-case scenario was at hand.
Nine months worth of applicant information for the yearly payout from the Alaska Permanent Fund was gone: some 800,000 electronic images that had been painstakingly scanned into the system months earlier, the 2006 paper applications that people had either mailed in or filed over the counter, and supporting documentation such as birth certificates and proof of residence.
And the only backup was the paperwork itself — stored in more than 300 cardboard boxes.

What a news right?
It was the sensibility of the computers so that's why maybe we have to learn that in every transaction that we are doing we have to have a back-up.
Or else we've be gone to nothing, and be back from the start again.

Dongmyeongseong of Goguryeo"Jumong" or "Chumong"

Good day everyone,

I was thinking of what to share with you today?
Oh yes i got an idea.
Recently i was hooked by a korean tele nobela tittled

"JUMONG".

Dongmyeongseong of Goguryeo
"Jumong" or "Chumong" redirects here.

For the historical drama,
Dongmyeongseong of Goguryeo.

King Dongmyeongseong of Goguryeo (58 - 19 BCE, r. 37 – 19 BCE),
also known by his birth name Jumong ,
was the founding monarch of Goguryeo,
the northernmost of the Three Kingdoms of Korea.
In the Gwanggaeto Stele,
he is called Chumo-wang (King Chumo).

In the Samguk Sagi and the Samguk Yusa,
he is recorded as Jumong, with the surname Go.
The Samguk Sagi states that he was also known as Chumo or Sanghae.
The name is also transcribed in other records as Chumong , Jungmo or Domo.
The founding myth of Goguryeo are related in ancient Korean and Chinese texts,
including the Gwanggaeto stele.
The best known version is found, with slight variationsin the Samguk Sagi, Samguk Yusa,
and the Dongmyeongwangpyeon of the Dongguk Isanggukjip

Jumong is described as the son of Hae Mosu=the son of heaven
and Yuhwa=daughter of the river god Habaek .

Hae Mosu met Yuhwa by a river where she was bathing,
but the river god disapproved of Hae Mosu, who returned to heaven.
The river god chased Yuhwa away to Ubalsu, where she met and became the concubine of King Geumwa of Dongbuyeo.
Yuwha was impregnated by sunlight and gave birth to an egg.
Geumwa tried to destroy the egg, and tried to feed it to animals,
who instead protected the egg from harm.
Geumwa returned it to Yuhwa.
From the egg hatched a baby boy, who was named Jumong, meaning "skilled archer."
"Leaving_Dongbuyeo".

Jumong married Ye Soya, who was the daughter of a merchant, at the age of 20.
Together they had a son.
Jumong was known for his exceptional skill at archery.
Eventually, Geumwa's sons became jealous of him, and Jumong was forced to leave Dongbuyeo. According to legend, as he fled on his horse, he approached a fast-running river.
Turtles and creatures of the water rose up and formed a bridge.
When he entered the land south of the river, he was greeted by Go Museo Dangun,
who was the ruler of Jolbon buyeo, which was Bukbuyeo under a changed state-name.

Go Museo knew that Jumong was not an ordinary man and gave his daughter Soseuno in marriage.
After the death of his father-in-law in 58 BC, Jumong became the 7th Dangun of Bukbuyeo, and reunited all of the five tribes of Jolbon buyeo into one centralized kingdom.

The first King of Goguryeo
In 37 BC, Jumong established Goguryeo, and became its first Taewang ("Supreme King"). During that same year, King Songyang of Biryu surrendered to him after receiving assistance in defeating the Malgal tribe that had invaded.
In 34 BC, Jolbon-Seong, Goguryeo's first capital city, was completed, along with the royal palace. Two years later, in 32 BC, Jumong sent his generals Oh-I, and Bu Bun-No to conquer Haeng-In Kingdom, which was south of the Taebaek mountains.
Four years later, in 28 BC, Jumong sent General Bu Wi-Yeom to conquer the kingdom of Okjeo. During that same year, Jumong's mother, Yuhwa, died in the palace of Dongbuyeo, and was given the burial ceremony of a Royal Queen even though she was a Royal Wife.Jumong sent a messenger and numerous gifts to King Geumwa in gratitude of his generous act. In 19 BC, Jumong's first wife Ye Soya fled Dongbuyeo with their son, Yuri, and entered Goguryeo.Ye became the empress, causing tension as Jumong's second wife, Soseuno, feared for her sons' positions in the future of Goguryeo.
Soseuno left Goguryeo with her two sons and some of the people and headed south into the Korean peninsula.
Jumong named his first son Yuri as the crown prince and successor to the throne.
Death and Succession
During the same year, Jumong died at the age of 40.

Crown Prince Yuri buried his father in a pyramid tomb, and gave him the posthumous name of King Dongmyeongseong.

Legacy
Jumong's kingdom of Goguryeo eventually grew into a great regional power.
Goguryeo stood for 705 years and was ruled by a total of 28 kings until it was conquered by the Silla-Tang alliance.
Balhae and Goryeo succeeded it, and the modern descendants of Jumong still bear his family name 'Go.'
The Go Royal Family exercised great power over its kingdom and continued to do so until the reign of its last king, thus continuing on a major legacy of its ancestor and founder, Jumong.

There is no specific recipe for this dessert, and a wide variety of ingredients are used.

It Takes Too Long

Good Afternoon everyone I wanna share to you the lyrics of one of my favorite song.

It Takes Too Long To Learn To Live Alone -

The same routine most every day,Except I guess, I see my folks much more.

A year has passed, I thought by now that I could make a new life of my own,

But habits are so hard to break,I think of you and I still ache,

It takes too long to learn to live alone.

It's really bad when Friday comes,Because I know the weekend lies ahead,

The walks we took, the football games,And when it rains how late we stayed in bed.

I've done so much to change the house,The attic's full of memories that I've known,

And yet, when I turn out the light,I wait for you to say goodnight,

It takes too long to learn to live alone.

I go on dates but when I do I always find, before the night is through,

The same old thing behind my smile,I'm sitting there comparing him to you.

In the end it's always you,I feel it even more when I come home,

I thought that I was free of you,But I was wrong, I never knew

It takes too long to learn to live alone."

I'm all alone.............

You know what I really love this song,

It reminds me a lot of things.

WONDERS CURE

Good day everyone, I'm here again.
Everyday going to work,
Reading news paper becomes one of my hobbies.
Because every morning there's a free News paper in the MRT Station,
where i ride.
And you know i had read this one part of the page which really catch my attention.
About health.
"OVER LOOKED WONDERS CURE"

It Say's that there are as many things that will help humankind achieve good health as there are things that will make them sick.

In a world obsessed w/things reputed to prolong life, delay aging and prevent illness, sometimes the best aid is over looked even if they are "right under our noses."
Her are some of them:
WATER=This is an essential pillar of health.

The human bodies requires constant hydration so drinking must be both a habit and a need.

For better health drink 8-12 glasses of clean water daily.
Dieters should drink 1 glass 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach,

15-20 Min's. before breakfast and every meal.
This should temper your food urges and make you eat less.
Good hydration will contribute to less aches and pains and prevent dryness of the skin.
It also enhances detoxification.

GARLIC= Often called nature's antibiotic, garlic is an essential nutrient.
It boosts the immune system, clears the blood and improve circulations.

PARSLEY=is valued as a breath-freshener, due to its high concentration of chlorophyll.

It enhances mental alertness, and affects the immune system.
Parsley tea may be used as a enema.

It also help control high blood pressure,

Use as a tonic to strengthen the bladder.

GINGER=Tea will warm the tummy, aid digestion, removes gases and raise the thermogenic (heat) level of the body(needed for fat burning).

This is a dieter's choice.

The Vehicle's here in the Philippines

Good evening everyone.
There different kinds of transportation here in the Philippines.
We have a Taxi, Bus,Jeepney,MRT,LRT and Kalesa.

Tricycle=is a three-wheeled vehicle.

Jeepneys= are a popular means of public transportation in the Philippines.
They have also become a symbol of Philippine culture.

A bus= is a large road vehicle intended to carry numerous persons in addition to the driver and sometimes a conductor.
The name is a shortened version of Latin omnibus, which means "for everyone."

Taxicab=a vehicle for hire which conveys passengers between locations of their choice.
Here in the Philippines you can call a a Taxi anywhere in the Streets.
Unlike in the Other country.
Like in some Part of Japan if you want to have the service of the taxi you have to phone them.

Kalesa (sometimes called a karitela)= is a horse-driven carriage used in the Philippines.
The word predates the Spanish conquest and descends ultimately from an Old Church Slavonic word meaning "wheels."
This was one of the modes of transportation introduced in the Philippines in the 18Th century. They are rarely used in the streets nowadays except in tourist spots and some rural areas.
A kalesa looks like an inclined cart popularized during Spanish occupation as a method of transportation.

It has two round wheels on each side and two rows of seats that can accommodate four persons. The driver sits in a block of wood hosted over the tip of the cart near the horse.
Kalesas can still be found in Intramuros, Manila, Binondo and nearby streets and also in Iligan City, where there is a street where adorned kalesas can be taken for a ride.

The Manila Light Rail Transit System, popularly known as the
LRT, is the main metropolitan rail system serving the Metro Manila area in the Philippines. There are two lines to the LRT: LRT-1, called the Yellow Line,
and MRT-2, called the Purple Line.
Although the system is referred to as a "light rail" system, arguably because the network is mostly elevated, the system is more akin to a rapid transit (metro) system.
The Manila LRT is the first metro system in Southeast Asia, built earlier than the Singapore MRT by three years.
The system is not related to the Manila Metro Rail Transit System, or the Blue Line, which forms a completely different but linked system.
The LRT forms part of Metro Manila's rail transportation infrastructure,

known as the Strong Republic Transit System (SRTS),[1] and overall public transport system. Although one of the original purposes of the system was to reduce traffic congestion in the metropolis, many commuters who ride the LRT also take various forms of road-based public transport, such as buses, to reach the intended destination from an LRT station and vice-versa. While this forms a comprehensive transportation system serving many parts of Metro Manila, the system has only been partially successful in cutting traffic congestion and travel times, which is further aggravated by the rising number of motor vehicles in Metro Manila.[2] The network's expansion, which has been touted by successive administrations since the LRT's inception, is set upon tackling this problem.
The system is operated by the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), a government-owned and controlled corporation under the authority of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) as an attached agency.

THE PERFECT FRIEND

I thought I had found the perfect friend,

But it only took about a week for that to end,

I thought there was hope left in my life,

But as it turns out,

it was only added strife,

I thought for once I had done something right,

But I quickly corrected that oversight,

I thought I wasn’t useless or a bore,

But I was all that and even more,

I thought there was a purpose to my days,

But that was only a very short phase,

I thought you weren’t like all the rest,

But like those before,

you failed the test,

I thought you would stay with me,

at least for a bit,

But you decided it was better just to quit,

I thought life was worth living for a moment in time,

But the life I wanted could never be mine,

I thought the hunger inside had been fed,

But now I know,

I was just being misled.

And now I think I’ve found another perfect friend,

How long before my heart is broken again?
BUT AS LONG AS I LIVE I PROMISE
THAT THIS FRIENDSHIP WILL BE TREASURE UNTIL THE END.
I HOPE THAT YOU ARE THE ONE GOD'S GIFT TO ME.
MAY OUR GOOD LORD BLESS OUR FRIENDSHIP FOREVER!

FRIENDS NO LONGER

Good day everyone,
There some question in my mind,
that I'm searching/thinking/looking for an answer
Friendship.
What is the real meaning of this word?
Some are mistaken about the true meaning of this.

FRIENDS NO LONGER

Sorry I forgot to tell you,

That as my friend you must be true.
As that I went to say,

No more were we at play.
I meant to tell you the future looked bright,

But all of a sudden we got in a fight.
I went to tell you we should be friends,

That I will be here until the end.
But you would not listen to me,

So friends no longer shall we be.

A Friend is a Treasure

A friend is someone we turn to,

when our spirits need a lift.

A friend is someone we treasure,

for our friendship is a gift.

A friend is someone who fills our lives, with beauty, joy and grace.

And make the world we live in,a better and happier place.

Good day everyone I'm here again to share to you about the famous Carabao Festival in Bulacan.

Bulacan is the place where i live now a days.

The Carabao Festival in Bulacan is very famous here in the Philippines,

The Carabao are very Brave,

They were trained like the other animal such as Dogs,Cats etc......

They used to learn to kneel in front of the Church.

Also they are trained to win a race " The Carabao Race"

The Carabao Festival
Beginning May 14th, the people of Pulilan in Bulacan Province, San Isidro in Nueva Ecija Province, and Angono in Rizal Province celebrate for two days.

On the first day, farmers pay tribute to water buffalo's, known as carabaos.

These animals are very important for farmers because they help till the land.

Farmers brush their carabaos' skin until it is sleek and shiny.

Then the carabaos are decorated with ribbons and attached to carts.

In the afternoon, farmers lead their carabaos to the church square to be part of the procession. At the church, the carabaos kneel for their blessings.

On the second day, the carabaos compete in a friendly race.
